Facts on How to Grow Taller

Did you know that there are 300 bones in your body when you are born? Did you also know that there are only 206 bones by the time we reach adulthood? Why does this happen? Growth plates are located at the ends of some of the long bones in our body. When some of the cartilage doesn’t harden all at the same time, these plates continue to make new tissue while the old tissue turns into bone – therefore increasing your growth. These plates will harden as well once you stop growing (usually at adulthood) – and you will now be at your final height. If something damaging happens to these growth plates while you are still young, your growth could be stunted and could cause some bones to be more mature than others, and some longer than others.
 
You can actually estimate the potential height of a child by watching their growth pattern. A female will usually have a full height of three times her height at the age of three years. A male will usually have a full height of three times his height at the age of three years and three months.
 
You can use growth charts to track your height development history but this is only one of the many ways to make sure that you had a healthy, growing, and properly developing process when you were a child.

    You will soon have your growth spurt. Don’t worry but your final height depends on many factors most importantly the genetic factors (height of your father and mother). Exercises in which you catch a pole with both hands and swing freely are said to help as well as avoiding weight lifting exercises till you achieve desired height. At your age you must get atleast 7-8 hours of sleep at night and drinking more water is a healthy attitude (atleast 7-8 glasses of water/fluids but depends on weather too) but how much these both help to improve height is not well known.

    wait until puberty, trust me when you hit 8th or 9th grade you’ll be tall. and just be normal dont worry about it. drink your milk and get ur vitamins and calcium that’ll help your bones and everything.

    To reach your potential height you need adequate sleep and that means from 8-10 hours per night.

    Insufficient sleep as well as under eating can, to some extent, stunt your height growth.

    Drinking more water than normal will not help you to grow any faster than normal.

    Maintain a habit of sleeping at the same time everyday, including weekends.
    Sleep on your back with a flat pillow under your knees. This will align your spine properly and prevent any back aches caused by sleeping in a bent position.
